Homeware Haul: Lush Green Tones

Penneys Primark Homeware Haul

I'm beginning to bore a little of everything beige (though I am firmly holding onto my grasp of grey) and of late strong blues and greens have been creeping into my colour spectrum.
I currently loving the trend for banana leaf prints in that strong malachite green. So, here are a few pieces I recently, and not so recently acquired in lush green tones.

Green Printed Cushion - Penneys

First up is this cushion from Primark Home. Or Penneys as they are known here in Ireland. I am loving their homeware lately - they have really ramped it up and the quality of their soft furnishings is fab. I picked up this one for a snip at only 8 Euros. I'll be heading back for a few more of theses for sure as they will be perfect for patio furniture when the weather picks up or for a lush colour addition to the sun room in our home.

Bamboo and Jasmine Scented Candle - Penneys

Along with the cushion, I bought this lovely candle in a green glass jar trimmed with green leaf printed label that will compliment the cushion nicely. In the main I'm very fussy about candles and have never burned one from Penneys before. I will be interested to see how it throws the scent - but really, for 5 Euros, I just bought it for how it looks as it will be fab in situ alongside the cushions to add to that deep green botanical vibe.

Vintage Industrial Cage Light - Trentanove Lighting

I have been lusting after an original industrial cage light from Trentanove Lighting since I first spied their cool trend-setting lights in House and Home magazine. I pondered to know who was behind this cool Irish artisan brand only to pleasantly discover it was in fact my neighbour from back home and her husband!

I bumped into them at the Dublin Brocante just before Christmas last year and picked up this cool vintage copper painted cage light from them with a cool green retro cord  - this was just as they sourced it except they replaced the cord and light fittings in keeping with the original retro style. Keith and Aisling both have an amazing eye for industrial cool and thought this is my first purchase from them, it will not be my last.

They recently started selling Beni Ourain Moroccan rugs, which they travel out to Marrakesh to source direct. There's a strong trend developing for authentic Moroccan handmade rugs, so as expected these guys have their fingers on the pulse on this one. You can often catch Keith and Aisling at the monthly Dublin Brocante in Newmarket Square in Dublin 8 or follow them on their Facebook page for details on where they will be hosting their next pop-up shop.
