With all this glorious sunshine over the last few days, I want to wear something a little lighter in texture than my usual foundation - Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I still want to achieve a nice even coverage, and I want to incorporate an SPF to avoid sun damage, so I turn to one of my favourite make-up lines NARS for their amazing Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser SPF 30/PA+++.
So few tinted moisturisers ever really suit my skin, but this one bucks that trend. It's a fabulous hard working tinted moisturiser especially for someone like me with more oily prone skin.

I was first introduced to it by the NARS global artist at its launch to the Space NK team a couple of years ago and as we watched him apply it on the model's face, her skin instantly became more radiant and glowing. I knew immediately this was going to be an amazing product to work with and it was, and still is.
It's light in texture yet gives a lovely radiance and an even veil of colour to the skin. It’s oil-free, paraben-free, has no synthetic fragrances and is non-comodegenic making it suitable for most skin types. With SPF 30 and PA+++ (the highest index measurement of protection against UVA rays) it's the perfect product for this kind of weather giving you a glowing complexion with the addition of excellent sun protection. It also helps to improve your skin’s overall condition as it is infused with three key ingredients:
Kopara - a hydrating natural polysaccharide from Polynesian lakes that assists cell renewal and improves skin texture
Mineral rich sea water – to revive and brighten the complexion and give your skin a natural glow
Vitamin C derivatives –To brighten the skin, and reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyper-pigmentation.
There are now eleven shades to choose from in its colour spectrum - Nars is a great range for most skin tones - however, the shades run a tad darker than their names might suggest. For example, the shade 'Finland' (which is the one I wear) is the second lightest on the spectrum and not as light as the name might suggest, so always ensure you colour match.
For a sheer even glow, I recommend applying it in light strokes with a foundation brush and for a little more coverage and longer wear, add a second thin layer again by using light brush strokes to build the product. Then just set with a little loose powder over the central panel, especially if you are prone to oiliness. Lightly dust over some bronzing powder - I'm currently loving Aerin's Pretty Bronze Illuminating Powder (available at Brown Thomas) - and voila! Radiant, sun-kissed, sun-protected skin.
NARS cosmetics are available online at Space NK and at the Beauty Hall in Brown Thomas
